The Global Hype of Live Earth's Audience

As the thermometer began to boil, I decided to spend much of Saturday afternoon indoors, which gave me ample opportunity to enjoy some of the daylong global concert event that was Live Earth. While the hours were filled with top notch performances coordinated across all seven continents, I found myslef fostering a growing annoyance at the oft-repeated claims that these concerts were reaching an audience of two billion people.
